7. Peter Dinklage Plays A Giant "Dwarf"

Marvel Studios did a fantastic job of keeping Peter Dinklage's role under wraps, and though rumours correctly pointed to him playing Eitri the Dwarf King, nobody could've quite seen the exact nature of his role coming.

In order to craft a new weapon capable of killing Thanos, Thor heads to Nidavellir with Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) to find Eitri, the master blacksmith capable of building such a device.

When the trio arrive there, they're greeted by Eitri, who in an hilarious subversion of the expected, is a giant by any human standard. The forge is no longer operational, Thanos has slaughtered the dwarf population, and after smithing the Infinity Gauntlet for Thanos, Eitri's hands were cut off to prevent him from building anything that could stop the Mad Titan.

However, with the help of Rocket and Groot, Thor and Eitri are able to create a new weapon, an axe called Stormbreaker. Thor activates the forge almost at the cost of his own life, while in an awesome touch, Groot contributes part of himself as the weapon's handle.

Though Dinklage goes full ham with his performance here, the sheer shock value of his role combined with his crowd-pleasing appeal made this one of Infinity War's easy highlights.
