Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Characters Least Likely To Survive

Bucky has a long and tragic backstory that has been charted out over the course of the entire franchise. He went from being Steve's best friend in First Avenger to becoming one of the series' primary (and best) antagonists in Winter Soldier.

Bucky has been in Wakanda since the end of Civil War, with Shuri working hard to free his mind of the dastardly effects of the Winter Soldier persona. Judging from the Black Panther post-credit scene, she looks to have been successful and Bucky will now be free to become the White Wolf, an aid to the people of Wakanda and an all-around hero.

But considering how tragic Bucky's story is, things can only be so good for so long. It seems only fitting that after finally ridding himself of his demons, Bucky will lay down his life to save the other Avengers. This could also offer up some real emotional payoffs to his relationships with Steve, Shuri, and even Tony. In the final images of the most recent trailer, we see an enraged Steve Rogers going toe-to-toe with Thanos. This rage could very easily be a direct result of Bucky's doom.

Between he and Falcon, one of them is set to be the future wielder of the shield should something happen to Cap. But Bucky's chances are not looking good.
