Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Fresh Predictions Based On The Trailers

It's no secret that Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are nearing the end of their Marvel contracts, and Evans in particular has cast doubt on the possibility of a renewal. Given that there are younger heroes who could step into their boots, Infinity War is the perfect opportunity for torches to be passed on.

More than one of the Avengers' founder members is likely to perish in Infinity War, and we may already have seen how they bow out. That scene in the second trailer where Cap (in Nomad mode) is struggling to deflect a blow from Thanos could be a heroic sacrifice, as could that moment in the first trailer where the Mad Titan KOs Iron Man.

Then there's that scene where Thanos is using Thor's head like a stress toy. This could be the end of the road for the thunder god, although if you look closely, it looks like the villain is trying to force him to look at something he doesn't want to see. Could this be his adoptive brother Loki's death scene we're witnessing?

Don't be fooled by the fact all of these actors are signed up for next year's mysteriously untitled Avengers 4. That doesn't necessarily mean they survive the events of Infinity War, as their roles in its sequel could be limited to flashbacks or the result of time travel, if the latest reports are anything to go by.
