8. Captain Marvel (Either One)

At this stage, we already know that Brie Larson is set to debut in Infinity War, but that is in no way confirmation that she's going to be playing Captain Marvel. She might just be Carol Danvers, with the seeds of her origin sewed as part of Thanos' attack on Earth (rather than the traditional way it was shown in the comics).

Kevin Feige has already revealed that Marvel was due to appear in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, but that she was pulled out because Marvel "didn’t want to introduce her fully-formed flying in a costume before you got to know who she was and how she came to be."

But that doesn't necessarily mean she can't become the Captain in Infinity War with creative writing building her origin into the Infinity saga rather than it being the traditional launch-point for her stand-alone movie. Perhaps the best way would be to introduce Mar'Vell as a herald of doom, who comes to Earth to warn of Thanos' approach.

We know Thanos is probably set for multiple stops on his journey to clash with the Avengers, so it would be pretty easy to have his planet one that falls early and to have him fatally injured before coming to Earth and transferring his powers to Danvers. That'd be a good way of getting a big fan reaction heading into Marvel's stand-alone.
