Avengers Infinity War: 10 Predictions That Were Entirely Wrong

1. Captain America Didn't Die

Ever since the second trailer showing Captain America desperately holding back Thanos' gauntlet, fans have been preparing themselves for the day they'd have to say goodbye to the MCU staple. Chris Evans didn't do much to quell the rumours of his character's potential demise either, constantly giving interviews in the run up to release about his retirement now that his contract has expired.

With the movie out though, it's clear how off that prediction was. If anything, ol' Cap actually comes out of the fight with Thanos more unscathed than any other hero - despite, you know, having to watch all of his friends disintegrate into ash.

As emotional as it would've been it's probably best he didn't kick the bucket. Though the Russos did a great job at balancing the flick's sprawling cast, Cap is surprisingly underused, and it would have ended up just being one of the many casualties to add to the pile.

Obviously, there's still Avengers 4 to go, but for now, Captain America is safe.
