Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Villains (Other Than Thanos) That Could Appear

It's not going to be as easy the third time out.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up for Phase Three, with Thanos finally making his presence known. But with a couple of dozen heroes to deal with, he€™s not going to get far by himself. Thor, at least, has already worked out that something is going on with the Infinity Gems. Each film is adding new characters to the shared Universe, and it looks like Thanos is going to have to deal with the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Nova Corps, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Asgardian army by the time Infinity War reaches our screens in 2018. Luckily, there are plenty of potential allies that the Mad Titan could employ, including those that have already featured in the earlier films. With Infinity War being split into two parts, it's unlikely that the Avengers will even get to face Thanos directly until 2019. To keep things interesting, Marvel will probably want to throw in a couple of secondary villains. If nothing else, the Avengers will need someone to fight during the two films. One popular rumour has it that the Avengers will be divided into two groups following the end of Civil War. With the Guardians of the Galaxy also likely to put in an appearance there's a good chance that at least part of the films will deal with the separate teams of heroes fighting each other rather than the real villains. Either way, it looks likely that the Avengers will be dealing with a whole host of enemies in addition to the Mad Titan. We've put together a list of ten enemies that could potentially feature in the upcoming films, including Thanos' allies and minions, his rivals and secondary antagonists, or his successors in future films.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
