Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Villains (Other Than Thanos) That Could Appear

5. The Collector

Just because they're a villain doesn't mean that they'll be allied with Thanos. The Collector has a long history with both Thanos and the Avengers in Marvel comics. One of the Elders of the Universe, the Collector's museum was originally created as a means of keeping some of the most dangerous and powerful weapons out of the hands of Thanos. At one point, he even began collecting members of the Avengers in order to use them against the Mad Titan. The Collector was introduced to the MCU in Thor: The Dark World and Guardians of the Galaxy. The former established that the Collector is interested in the Infinity Gems, and as far as we are aware, he is still in possession of the Aether. As a result, it is almost certain that the Collector will put in an appearance. The latter film saw his collection all but destroyed as a result of Thanos' attempt to collect the Infinity Gems, so the two are likely to be at odds if the Collector does appear in Infinity War. With a vast (if partly destroyed) collection of weapons and wonders at his disposal, the Collector could easily be a significant, and entertaining, secondary threat to both Thanos and the Avengers. Eagle-eyed viewers even spotted Adam Warlock's cocoon in the background of one shot. Adam has repeatedly defeated Thanos in Marvel comics, which means that the Collector could already possess the means to threaten both Thanos' plans and the Avengers' mission.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
