Avengers: Infinity War - 14 Things You Probably Didn't Notice

1. Marvel Thanked Someone Who Hates Them

The good thing about being forced to sit through the credits of a Marvel movie is that you're pretty much also forced to read what's on screen for entertainment, meaning lots of people get their dues. It also helps that Marvel have hidden little Easter Eggs in the credits before, so it pays to look closely.

That's not so much the case in Infinity War, though there was a special thanks to Bill Bailey that led the comedian of the same name to wonder why he'd been thanked and the revelation that only Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr get their own chefs on set.

The best little detail in there, though, is the special acknowledgement the credits give to Jim Starlin for his input on the film. He is, after all, the man responsible for creating both Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet, so without him there'd be no Infinity War. Unfortunately, he's also not a fan of Marvel and swears he'll never make another comic for them again.

Over the last 45 years of association with Marvel, he's acrimoniously quit working for them six times and thinks the latest split is for good, even though he's always drawn back for Thanos stories. He's also had issues with Marvel Studios, who weren't paying him fairly for the use of Thanos until a renegotiated deal fixed matters.

So, in short, Marvel have basically gone out of their way to thank someone who is seemingly at war with them as a company. Perhaps they realise it's best to get some of that water under the bridge...
