5. Loki Has The Tesseract

The D23 footage reveals a shot of Loki apparently handing the Tesseract over to "someone taller" - with some sites outright suggesting that it's Thanos, and seemingly confirming Loki's allegiance in the film.

There are several implications of all of this: first, Loki doesn't die in Thor: Ragnarok. Good. Secondly, he escapes Asgard when Hela takes over with the Tesseract, which presumably means he takes it to Earth, since that's where he appears in the footage and where he heads with Thor in Ragnarok to try and find Odin.

Could this be Loki's bartering chip to not be killed off and to getting Thanos' help to get back to Asgard? Could he be the key to Hela and Thanos meeting in the first place? This is all very confusing, and working out the timeline between Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War will be an interesting thing to speculate until we find out how that film ends.

What we can probably safely assume is that Loki is absolutely not a good guy when Ragnarok ends, no matter how helpful he seems to be when Thor is looking for Odin with Doctor Strange on Earth.
