Avengers: Infinity War - 8 Compelling Hints Captain America Will Die (& 3 He Won't)

3. The Comics

It's probably not worth paying too much attention to the Infinity Gauntlet comics (which is a great way of starting a point on why the comic is a compelling hint towards something, but bear with me), since there's so much in there that simply CAN'T be used.

The MCU doesn't have all the right characters to do it justice, and instead it looks as though they're pulling from that, the Infinity comic storyline, and adding in lots of original material too, which is in keeping with their modus operandi, much like we saw in Civil War.

But, as evidenced with that M.O., they did still hit some beats from the comics, and the list from Infinity Gauntlet can be narrowed down by who's available. One of them is Captain America, who dies in a scene not unlike one we've witnessed in the trailers. He won't die there and then, because they need to make it different, but it means if they do want something in keeping with the comics, then killing off Cap is very much ON the table and fits perfectly with the movie's story and his character arc.
