Avengers: Infinity War - 8 Compelling Theories About The Hulk
Bigger. Angrier. Badder?
If Mark Ruffalo is to be believed, his Hulk is going to play a huge role in Avengers: Infinity War and its so-far unnamed follow-up. The star appeared at Disney's D23 event to reveal that Banner and his monstrous alter-ego will be getting a juicy-sounding arc in his next three appearances:
"There's a huge change for Banner and for Hulk. It isn't resolved in the first Infinity War, it sort of culminates into the second Infinity War. Thor 3 is the beginning of a lot of changes for Banner and for Hulk."
The question now is what that huge change could be. Could he be a villain? Could he change colour? Has he had anger management coaching and come to live with his issues? The possibilities - even the silly ones - are delightfully intriguing, and trying to piece together what role he will play in Thanos' big day out is just as interesting.
Those hints that he's going to get a key arc across Avengers 3 & 4, which is seeded initially in Thor Ragnarok, also suggest that we're going to get more of Hulk than we have so far in the MCU, and that's absolutely a good thing. He might not be deemed a viable stand-alone character (partly thanks to the rights issues), but he's definitely one of the most compelling figures in the MCU, and there are some significant hints in his appearances so far that could map out what we'll see in Infinity War...
