Avengers: Infinity War - 9 Reasons It's The Most Important Marvel Movie Yet
4. It's Jam-Packed With Phenomenal Performances
The MCU was built off the back of its characters, and when they're as familiar and as engaging as they are in their current incarnations, it makes sense that most tales end up being character-driven (for the most part).
The acting just seems to get better with each and every instalment, with Civil War's climactic battle between Tony, Steve and Bucky epitomising the acting talents of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan in particular.
With Infinity War, however, every actor goes one step beyond; Robert Downey Jr. conjures a soul-crushing performance as Tony Stark once again enters the fray, this time with the character fully aware that it might not be a battle he can walk away from; Tom Holland embodies the spirit of Spider-Man in heartbreaking fashion, with his final moments in the film devastating everyone pretty much everywhere; Zoe Saldana transforms Gamora into one of the best characters the MCU has ever seen and Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen et al. are all just as magnificent.
