Avengers: Infinity War - Every Character Ranked By How Likely They Are To Die

17. Gamora

Gamora is a strange one when it comes to her Infinity War fate. On the one hand, her not getting a chance of further developing her story with Star-Lord in Guardians Vol 3 would seem pretty illogical, but she also has an important narrative role to play in the ensemble.

It's through her eyes that we see Thanos' backstory (and her own, of course), and there's a rumour out there that she may end up being revealed as tied to the Soul Stone by her relationship with Thanos. What if he kidnapped and "bred" her to be sacrificed in order to get his hands on the soul-loving Stone? If that artifact does indeed need to be "fed" souls, that might spell danger for anyone deemed important to Thanos.

Her death would be one of the more devastating of the movie, but that Guardians sequel might just tip the balance in her favour.

16. Falcon

Marvel Studios

Unfortunately for Sam Wilson, he's still one of the more expendable characters in the MCU and there won't be too many fans who really miss him if he's killed off to push Steve Rogers to the edge in his fight with Thanos.

Falcon has been a good enough supporting character and he'll be useful in the fight against the Outriders on Wakanda, but his death would also be useful in proving that there are going to be costs to this story, without it being too ruinous for future story-telling opportunities. It would also help kill those rumours that he might take over from Steve Rogers as Captain America when he dies.

The fact that he appears to try and fight Thanos himself (according to the trailers) probably suggests he's not long for this Earth.
