27. Thor

As alredy qualfiied, he might be billed as one of the main characters (along with Thanos), but Thor will spend a good deal of Infinity War away from the action with Rocket and Groot, by the look of it.

And though the trailers showed him seemingly having his head crushed by Thanos, that's definitely from their opening encounter when Thanos throws him out into space (definitely in the belief that he's successfully killed him). If he can survive that sort of Titanic trauma, he's probably in good shape to survive everything else the film can throw at him, even when he gets back to Earth to join the Wakandan fight.

Marvel would gain nothing by leaving Asgard's refugee survivors without a king or a planet, so that has to be tied up later down the line anyway. And they need him alive for it.

26. Wong

He might not have made it through Kaecilius' conquest of the Hong Kong sanctum unscathed in Doctor Strange, but Wong is legiitmately one of the most powerful characters in the MCU thanks to his Sorceror training. He was basically given the job to guard the Ancient One's library because he'd take no sh*t from anyone, and while he's a comedy figure at times, he's definitely a big deal when it comes to throwing down.

The fact that he's already been killed once rather casually probably also helps him. So when he comes face to face with Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw in New York, don't expect him to be used as cannon fodder - especially not with a Strange sequel likely to follow in Phase 4. That sotry needs as many Sorcerors as possible for Mordo to try and kill.
