Avengers: Infinity War - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
9. Steve Rogers
All in all, Steve Rogers - who is only called "Captain" once by Vision and never Captain America - has little to really do beyond turning up to help save the world. His arc - of coming out of exile to save team-mated who turned their back on him and a world that doesn't entirely love him - absolutely fits where he's gone in the franchise to date.
Obviously, he's one of the biggest players in the battle sequences, because he's an actual super soldier and it's always great to see the choreography that goes into his combat - a marriage of grace and brutality. And he gets one of the film's best lines when he meets Groot and responds to his "I am Groot" with "I am Steve Rogers."
There's a big argument that he should have died before Thanos clicked, but it feels like he might get a chance to sacrifice himself for the cause once more in Avengers 4, where it may be even more poignant.
