3. Thor

On the back of Thor: Ragnarok, the God Of Thunder is one of the most important figures in Infinity War. His arc might slightly compromise the development in Ragnarok when he discovers that he doesn't need Mjolnir to channel his powers, but it makes sense that he's seeking a weapon powerful enough to kill the universe's most powerful entity.

From the moment he watches Loki's murder, Thor is intent on making Thanos pay for his death and Chris Hemsworth adds in the pathos that was missing in Ragnarok's gag-fest. He's also the biggest bad-ass in the battle sequences - which makes sense since he's an actual God and his big arrival in Wakanda is one of the best hero moments of the film.

There's far more depth to him as a character than there has been elsewhere in the MCU and it's great to think we're going to see more in Avengers 4.
