Avengers: Infinity War - How Will The Soul Stone Be Introduced?

2. "Human" Vision Is A Result Of The Soul Stone

In the Avengers: Infinity War footage we've seen thus far, we've been shown a few shots of Vision in human form, caressing Scarlet Witch's face in some sort of apartment bedroom.

There have been numerous theories as to what the hell is going on here, but something that hasn't been discussed too much is the possibility that this is a vision that's brought on by the powers of the Soul Stone.

There's a shot in Infinity War's Superbowl spot of Vision limping down a corridor in what looks to be a Wakandan lab (it's got that same sleek, futuristic vibe that Shuri's workspace had in Black Panther).

He looks like he's in pain, meaning that this scene almost certainly takes place after he's attacked by Thanos' forces, who attempt to rip the Mind Stone from his forehead (a moment we saw in the film's first trailer).

Vision isn't a human, and if he needs healing in some way, there might not be anyone around who knows how to help him - even geniuses like Shuri and Tony can't do everything.

This is where the orange sand and the heart-shaped herb come in. In Black Panther, we learn that they can both be used to help heal and relax an individual - like when T'Challa uses them after his fight with M'Baku, in order to recuperate.

So... what if Vision does the same in Infinity War? What if he consumes some of the herb (if the Wakandans have a backup supply of the stuff), and lies within the sand, to heal whatever irreparable injuries he's sustained?

And how does this tie into "human" Vision? Just look at the powers of the sand and the herb. They can transport you to another realm and can cause strange visions, a way of peering into people's souls and memories.

If Vision, more so than anything, wants to settle down and live a normal life with Scarlet Witch (they've been an item in the comics), this is exactly the type of vision the Soul Stone would give him; the two living a normal, happy life in a cosy apartment, away from the action and fighting.

Plus, if Vision is Wakanda and he still has the Mind Stone, this gives Thanos and his army an even bigger reason to attack Wakanda - two Stones in one place.

It remains to be seen if this theory will pan out, but there's a lot backing it up. And if the Stone isn't in Wakanda after all, there are plenty of other places it could be hidden.
