Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting All 67 Characters

42. Nick Fury

Marvel needs to ration Samuel L. Jackson. When he first signed up for a nine-movie deal it felt like he'd be about for an eternity, but, eight years on, he's already popped up in seven films, thus meaning our time left with Nick Fury is limited. He's not appearing in Civil War though, which likely means he will be able to turn up for the Infinity one.

41. Maria Hill

If you have Nick Fury, Maria Hill can't be far behind. How big a role S.H.I.E.L.D. would play in a cosmic Avengers story is unclear, but with the Earth no doubt under threat expect the organisation (in whatever form it's in come 2018) to appear, along with its most senior personnel.

40. Martin Freeman

Martin Freeman's character in Civil War will either be a simple one-and-done appearance or the start of a minor recurring character. Given the pedigree of the actor and slight screen time he appears to have in Cap 3, I'm inclined to say the latter, meaning that, whichever side he winds up being on there, the character will be around for a bit longer, all the way up to Infinity War.

39. Sharon Carter

A random S.H.I.E.L.D. agent wouldn't normally have the ability to survive through multiple movies, but Emily VanCamp's Agent 13 has a lot more going for her - not only is she the granddaughter of Peggy Carter, but she's shaping up to be the love interest for Steve Rogers - making an appearance in Infinity War, either in action or during Cap's down time, highly likely. VanCamp's also not as massive a name as some involved here, so should be easy to secure for what will inevitably be a more minor role.
