Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting All 76 Characters

62. Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans)

Avengers Infinity War Captain America
Marvel Studios

Status: Confirmed

Having disappeared to Wakanda at the end of Captain America: Civil War, Cap will still be under the radar by the time Infinity War kicks off - and he's got the beard to prove it.

Presumably, he left Wakanda after Civil War because he's unlikely to appear in Black Panther (aside from MAYBE a cameo when Bucky is thawed out), and we'll find out what he and the other exiled Avengers have been up to since. And we MIGHT get to see him in full Nomad mode, though it's still unlikely we'll hear him called that officially.

Expect him to get a new shield too, thanks to T'Challa.

61. Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan)

Captain America The Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes
Marvel Studios

Status: Confirmed

Whether he'll be thawed out in Black Panther or at the start of Infinity War remains to be seen, but Bucky is back in action alongside Cap in Wakanda by the time Thanos' army lands there and he's got a new Vibranium arm - no doubt thanks to Shuri.

Hopefully, his time on ice has helped fix his psychological issues a little, because spending too much time exploring his new moral spectrum might be too distracting. He needs to be a hero and he needs to clear his name for the world, which we can fully expect to happen.

60. Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)

Black Widow Scarlett Johansson
Vanity Fair

Status: Confirmed

Like Cap, Natasha has been underground since Tony Stark forced her to flee the government stooges coming to question her involvement in Cap and Bucky's escape from the airport. And like her Avengers boss, she's also got a new look, having dyed her hair blonde to lay low, which is the opposite of what you're supposed to do to lay low.

She's headed to Wakanda too and she's going to be fighting the Black Order in close quarters is the trailer shot of her wielding Corvus Glaive's weapon is anything to go by.

59. Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders)

Maria Hill Age of Ultron
Marvel Studios

Status: Confirmed

There's no way what remains of SHIELD will sit by idly watching as Thanos tries to destroy the planet, so we can expect Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill to be on-hand with any heavy-duty support Cap and Tony Stark need (assuming they're speaking now).

The actress has confirmed she's involved, but it's unlikely to be a major part. But she's returning for Avengers 4 too, so don't expect her to follow Phil Coulson to the morgue.
