Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting The Fate Of Every Avenger

2. Captain America

Is he even called Captain America anymore? The end of Civil War indicated that he'd abandoned that mantle, given that he's now without his shield, his outfit, and he also sports a beard that seems to signify a less polished, archetypal hero.

But even if he's dropped that famous name, he'll still give The Avengers every ounce of strength, courage and power he possesses, when the time comes.

Cap doesn't appear to be in Wakanda at the start of Infinity War (if the footage descriptions are anything to go by), and has instead been running "rogue missions" with Scarlet Witch, according to Elizabeth Olsen.

What Will Happen To Him? One of these "rogue missions" will bring Cap into contact with some of Thanos' followers, which will lead to him reuniting with Tony and the rest of the Avengers.

Cap won't die at the end of Infinity War - his retirement is something more likely to happen in Avengers 4, whether he dies or simply stops fighting - but he'll get to lead Thor, Iron Man and the original Avengers into battle, a coming together that will be a way to celebrate the original six heroes that started it all.

We'll get that iconic Avengers theme playing again, and when Cap heads off to face his enemies, he'll do so without fear, completely fine with the idea of this fight being his last.
