Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting The Fate Of Every Avenger

1. Iron Man

The Avengers may have expanded the MCU but Iron Man started the MCU, making Infinity War the ten-year anniversary of one of the most important blockbusters of the modern age.

For this reason alone, Iron Man/Tony will enjoy the bulk of the screentime; it's hard not to feel like this could be it for Robert Downey Jr's character, given the fact that Iron Man 4 never materialised and Marvel appear to be positioning other superheroes, like Doctor Strange, to take his place as the face of the MCU.

But will Marvel actually kill Iron Man in Infinity War? No. Again, that's something that would be better saved for Avengers 4, and besides, Downey Jr. mentions in this video that he has a year of shooting ahead of him - that means he's filming two movies.

What Will Happen To Him? The SDCC footage showed Iron Man being punched by Thanos, sending him flying through the air - it's safe to say this movie won't be easy for him.

He will live to the end, but he'll be unbelievably battered and bruised by the time the credits roll.

After his first encounter with Thanos, he'll retreat to lick his wounds, afraid of the possibility of losing. Here, the movie will slow down for a bit to show the wedding of Tony and Pepper - an event teased at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming - that's been a long time coming.

If Iron Man is to exit the MCU in the next couple of movies, tying the knot on his and Pepper's relationship would be the perfect way to end things. Tony is afraid of losing Pepper more than anything, so he'll want to secure her hand before he heads into what could be his final few battles.

What do you think will happen to each character in Avengers: Infinity War? Will any of them die? Leave your predictions in the comments below!
