1. That Ending (And The Emotional Heft)

If the final hour of the movie is great, the very end of Infinity War is simply astonishing. What the Russos have done and what it will do to the audience is hard to put into words. It comes down to feelings and you're going to struggle not to be overcome with a whole rainbow of them.

And that's very much the case for the whole film. Even when it's deeply invested in massive spectacle, it always comes back to small, personal moments - of chest-beating glory, devastating heartbreak, warm charm - and it will absolutely leave a mark. Let's be honest, it will leave a LOT of marks.

Considering the accusations Marvel and Disney have faced in the past for not delivering on adult themes, this is an absolute tour-de-force.
