Avengers: Infinity War Vs Avengers: Endgame - Which Is Better?
11. The Heroes
In terms of the treatment of the MCU's superheroes, Infinity War and Endgame are very much two sides of the same coin.
Infinity War largely pushes the O.G. Avengers to the background, with Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) having small (or non-existent) roles, while focusing instead on the newer (and younger) Avengers.
Endgame flips this by having the likes of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and most of the Guardians of the Galaxy turned to dust for about 85% of its run-time, while serving instead as a farewell for the original six.
Though they're basically Side A and Side B of the same incredible album, only one can win.
WINNER: As novel as it was to see these heroes all interacting for the first time in Infinity War, Endgame barely clinches it on the merits of its heightened emotion, of paying-off over a decade of build-up and giving Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in particular an extremely fitting send-off.
