Avengers: Infinity War Vs Avengers: Endgame - Which Is Better?
9. Performances
One of the Russos' most consistent qualities is their ability to garner exceptional performances from their epic ensemble casts, and that's certainly true in both Infinity War and Endgame.
The centre-piece of Infinity War is unquestionably Josh Brolin's performance as Thanos, which is right up there with Heath Ledger's Joker as one of the most deftly-crafted in the superhero genre.
On the superhero side, Chris Hemsworth basically steals the show with his strongest MCU work yet, and Tom Holland broke all our hearts with his devastating final scene in particular.
If the bulk of Infinity War is far more of an action movie, Endgame is focused more closely on drama following the snap, and as such gives most of the cast - especially the O.G. Avengers - more flavourful dramatic meat to chew on.
WINNER: No complaints either way, but Endgame gives the core Avenger line-up some of their most affecting material to date, and the film's overall more dramatic tenor simply gives it more opportunities to let the actors, you know, act.
Infinity War is more crafted around a single fantastic performance, while Endgame gives audiences several (who also happen to be much-loved heroes they've been following for years).
