Avengers: Infinity War - What Does The Ending Really Mean?

9. Certain Characters Need To Stay Dead

Speaking of Gamora's death, while there is that chance Thanos could attempt to bring her back, he really shouldn't. It's one of the movie's most poignant and powerful moments, and shouldn't be undercut by a revival, despite the impact that would have on the already confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The same goes for the other big, pre-snap deaths too. Vision's first death is tragic, his second simply brutal, and given he dies twice in this movie there's little point in having him return again. Loki's, meanwhile, is a perfect conclusion to the journey the character has been on since his first appearance and his transformation from villain into someone more heroic. Heimdall, well, wasn't much of a character anyway.

With a Time Stone in play there's always the chance for deaths to be reversed, but since they happened before the big reversible event then it should mean these ones can't be.
