BAFTAs 2017: Predicting Every Winner
9. Best Editing
Prediction: La La Land (Tom Cross)
BAFTA tends to be much more adventurous and open-minded with its editing winners than the Academy, as evidenced by fantastic documentary Senna winning the award back in 2011.
That said, this year's crop is a fairly typical sort, and among them La La Land's stupendous editing job should easily enrapture BAFTA.
Should It Win?: It's a tough category (it's up against Arrival, Hacksaw Bridge, Manchester by the Sea and Nocturnal Animals), but La La Land has such an elaborate, silky smooth production and the editing is a big reason why the movie flows so well, so yes.
