BAFTAs 2017: Predicting Every Winner
8. Outstanding British Film
Prediction: I, Daniel Blake
This is a perfect opportunity for BAFTA to recognise Ken Loach's film even though it'll miss out on the Best Film award.
Considering its immense, angry social commentary and enormously relevant subject matter, a win here would get more people talking about the UK's benefits system, which is no bad thing.
As for how Fantastic Beasts ended up nominated in this category, we're as clueless as you probably are.
Should It Win?: There are several strong opponents (American Honey, Notes on Blindness and Under the Shadow), but not one of them manages to be quite as heartfelt and devastatingly relatable as Loach's latest masterpiece.
