BAFTAs 2017: Predicting Every Winner

7. Best Cinematography

La La Land BAFTA
Summit Entertainment

Prediction: La La Land (Linus Sandgren)

This is a tough category with Arrival, Lion and Hell or High Water putting up a strong fight, but the impressively-staged dance choreography of La La Land should see it to the finish line.

It also helps that two of the biggest threats in this category, Silence and Moonlight, weren't even nominated by BAFTA.

Should It Win?: Going by those five nominees, yes, even if the landscape would be totally different with Silence and Moonlight in the mix. La La Land doesn't leave its rivals in the dust in this regard, but it is a gorgeous-looking film, and that'll be enough to push it over the top.
