BAFTAs 2017: Predicting Every Winner

20. Best Production Design

La La Land BAFTA
Warner Bros.

Prediction: Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them (Stuart Craig and Anna Pinnock)

Despite lavishing it with an impressive five BAFTA nominations, most of the voting body knows they can't realistically bestow the film with the Outstanding British Film award, because it's just not that good.

Instead it'll mop-up a few below-the-line awards, and the production design category this year is honestly pretty soft, so there won't be too much dissent about it.

Should It Win?: Hard to say, as though it's probably the most effervescent of a mild bunch (Doctor Strange, Hail Caesar!, La La Land and Nocturnal Animals), there's also the prevailing feeling Beasts didn't really make the most of its period setting either. Oh, go on then.
