BAFTAs 2020: 10 Ups & 5 Downs
Ups...
10. Graham Norton's Rock Solid Hosting Job
Graham Norton hosted this year's ceremony, bringing his uniquely playful energy to the BAFTAs following on from the divisive hosting job of previous host Joanna Lumley.
True to form, Norton didn't ruffle too many feathers throughout the show, though he did make some choice gags about The Irishman's ridiculous length and Cats being, well, terrible.
Best of all, when he showed up in a VIP box to address the crowd, he couldn't resist but quip, "I'm in a box, first time for everything," to the crowd's bemused laughter.
Whether he's invited back next year or not, Norton did a fine job keeping the mood light but just cheeky enough without making it all about himself.
