Batman: 10 Best Batmobiles Outside Of The Comics

6. Arkham Asylum Batmobile - Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009)

It's rather sad that this handsome vehicle had only the most superficial of roles in 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum. Between transporting Batman to and from Arkham Island and briefly holding its own against some naïve vandals, the first Arkhamverse Batmobile is quite sorely overlooked.

Perhaps a subtler design than others of its ilk, but nonetheless stunning to look at, this Batmobile takes more from a vintage roadster aesthetic than something more modern and/or futuristic. As a street thug so deftly puts it in Arkham Knight, it's that "retro, classic car thing" that gives it its signature charm. Almost a shame Alfred can't take it into town to do his grocery shopping.

Thankfully, like many others on this list, the original Arkham-mobile is featured as a playable skin for the Batmobile in Batman: Arkham Knight, both in the open world and in challenge maps, which comes close to giving it the justice it initially deserved.
