Batman: 10 Best Batmobiles Outside Of The Comics
4. Animated Series Batmobile - Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995)
There are many reasons why this critically acclaimed show has the glowing reputation it does. The stellar voice acting, Danny Elfman's epic theme from the 1989 movie, and the unprecedented depth for a children's cartoon aside, part of what generates fans' fond memories for this series is that distinctive animation that so many other superhero shows also benefitted from.
And out of that animation came the animated series' Batmobile, a machine more than befitting of Kevin Conroy's fantastically seductive Dark Knight.
Compared to the Batmobiles in other mediums, this one sports a rather minimalist design, yet still maintains the classic characteristics such as the cockpit-like driver's seat, pitch black finish and subtle bat motifs. Seeing it screech around the streets of Gotham city holds an endless amount of satisfaction, and Batman's calmness during high-speed chases really adds to the 'less is more' feel of this animated automobile.
Hell, the animators even somehow make it look cool when a villain turns it invisible.
