Batman: 10 Best Batmobiles Outside Of The Comics
2. Arkham Knight Batmobile - Batman: Arkham Knight (2015)
One of the most heavily marketed features of Batman: Arkham Knight before release was the ability to finally get behind the wheel of Batman's iconic chariot. And though the Batmobile's role in the game ultimately proved polarising among players, its actual design is nothing short of gorgeous.
When armed drones take to the streets of Gotham, Batman calls in his own car as a means of "evening the odds". And boy, does it even them!
Everything about this Batmobile screams Batman, from the bat-shaped tyre treads to the front headlights cleverly arranged like a bat symbol, and even its stylish resemblance to Bruce's actual batsuit. It also has a high-tech compartment at the back specifically for transporting criminals and rescued hostages.
But when it comes to combat, this model has an entire second form, essentially opening out into a vastly manoeuvrable tank complete with rubber bullets and all manner of drone-dispersing weaponry.
Is this guns-blazing approach the antithesis of what Batman stands for, or just another way of him adapting to an otherwise unconquerable threat? Either way, this is one Batmobile that the Dark Knight simply couldn't do without.
