Batman 1989 Movie Cast - Where Are They Now?

5. Lee Wallace - Mayor Borg

Batman 1989 Spider-Man Homecoming Michael Keaton

Lee Wallace made a brief but memorable appearance in Batman as Gotham's Mayor Borg, and was presumably cast due to his notable physical resemblance to Ed Koch, who was the real-life Mayor of New York at the time of shooting.

Amusingly, this was the third time in 15 years that Wallace had been cast as a Mayor in a significant Hollywood movie, having previously played the Mayor of New York in both The Taking of Pelham One Two Three and Daniel.

Bar a few scattered TV and stage roles, Wallace had more-or-less retired by 1992, making his final big-screen appearance in the 1992 Shirley MacLaine vehicle Used People.

Wallace passed away last December at the age of 90.
