Batman vs Superman Movie: Casting Ben Affleck's Bat Family

3. Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle

Oracle Batgirl€™s only screen outing was Batman And Robin, a film so ridiculed it needs no fancy introduction on my part. There she was the niece of Alfred, but the most famous iteration of the character is Barbara Gordon, daughter of the Police Commissioner. Crippled by the Joker in The Killing Joke, she became Oracle, a wheelchair bound techie who aids the rest of the team, which is where she really should be when Batman Vs. Superman kicks off. First Choice: Rooney Mara If you want to show off someone internally wounded as well as physically, you could go a lot worse than the girl who out-Lisbethed Noomi Rapace. Rooney Mara has risen from obscurity over the past few years, David Fincher€™s Dragon Tattoo remake making way for the twisted (in both writing and subject) Side Effects and and an upcoming teaming with Terrence Mallick, but this film would send her star even higher. For The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo she fully transformed herself into Lisbeth, showing a devotion Oracle would benefit from. Worth Considering: Carey Mulligan Like Gyllenhaal, Mulligan is as gifted at shifting her age on screen as she is as an actress and it€™s easy to imagine her slipping into either the suit or the wheelchair with little acting effort. The problem here is that unlike Mara it€™s just harder to imagine her having a crime fighting past, making her a nice, if not ideal, choice. Or Why Not: Selena Gomez With Justin Bieber reportedly being eyed for Robin, why not pop another child star in just in case Batman fighting Superman isn't enough to grab kid€™s attention?
