To this day, no one has been able to top Michelle Pfeiffer’s performance as Catwoman and for good reason. Michelle Pfeiffer is Catwoman.

The actress managed to create the perfect adaptation of the cat-burger, almost as if she came straight out of the comic book pages. Pfeiffer managed to make a completely iconic character her own, mixing both sex appeal and campiness, all while stealing every scene she was in.

Pfeiffer nailed the character difference between Selina Kyle before and after her accident, without it being such a sharp turn of events that it felt off when her character finally started to become the Catwoman. Much like Anne Hathaway, Pfeiffer nailed the sexy and cheesy lines which could have easily come across as cringy and out of place in the film. Her chemistry with Michael Keaton was phenomenal, setting a standard of how comic book relationships should be portrayed on the big screen.

Michelle Pfeiffer’s performance as Selina Kyle will forever go down in history as one of the best comic book character performances; a title that many have tried but failed to match. It’s simple to say we’re all whipped for Pfeiffer’s Catwoman.
