Batman: Every Main Live-Action Movie Suit Ranked

The suit Christian Bale wears is grounded in reality as much as possible. It was based on the concept of a military grade combat suit that is temperature controlled and mostly bullet proof.

In the movie, Bruce covers the suit in black coating and adds a Bat symbol to the chest. The armor, in combination with the cowl and cape, looks menacing despite being a bit rubbery and even a bit plain in some areas. The utility belt is durable and holds many useful tools including a grapple gun, smoke bombs, Batarangs, and more. Wasting absolutely no space, the belt itself works as a climbing harness.

One of the greatest aspects of the suit is the cape's ability to form into wings that allow Batman to glide. This gave Bats the ability to travel large distances quickly, or make quick escapes.

Every detail of the suit is thought through, but that doesn't mean it is perfect. Bodily mobility in this suit is good, but movement of the neck was not possible. It just goes to show that there is always room for improvement.
