4. Lex Luthor - Jesse Eisenberg (Batman V Superman)

Lex Luthor is such a good villain that he's appeared in several utterly terrible films and still emerged with his credit intact. Or he had until Zack Snyder decided to cast him as a sort of tech billionaire with distinct Zuckerberg vibes and a not-quite explained hatred of superheroes.

Naturally, this being a deeply unimaginative take on Luthor - which dated even as we were watching it - Snyder sought the best person to play a Zuckerberg clone. Someone who had already played him.

We all hoped his Facebook founder act was a performance to hide a more traditional, cool Luthor interior, but alas, it was not to be and one of the greatest DC villains of all time was turned into Scrappy Doo with daddy issues.
