2. Bane - Jeep Swenson (Batman & Robin)

A lot of people won't agree here, but Batman & Robin's Bane looked great - up to a point. It was great to see him in full muscle-bound luchador aesthetic and the initial reveal showed some promise.

Unfortunately, the look seems to have been the only thing Schumacher's writing team took from the comics as Bane is otherwise transformed into a brainless monster of the week with absolutely no depth, no empathy and none of the defining characteristics fans knew him for.

This was supposed to be a villain capable of breaking Batman physically but ALSO outsmarting him. You look at Jeep Swenson's Bane and wonder whether he'd be able to open a jar of mayonnaise.
