4. Chris Nolan Considered Marilyn Manson To Play The Scarecrow In Batman Begins?
During the casting for Batman Begins I read that Marilyn Manson was one of the few people considered for the role of Dr. Jonathan Crane or, as he is better known within the Batman Universe; the Scarecrow. Surely I cant be the only one who thinks that this would have been casting genius? Sure Manson is getting on a bit and his stage performances are starting to lack their usual prowess, but some say he lives his daily life in character and he has a personal history with drugs and after all he described as the king of the grotesque, so who better to play the twisted genius of a Doctor who thrives on fear than a man who has spent his life singing about fear and hate and has even managed to scare the world with just his music...and possibly his stage antics...and I guess you could say his appearance is a little menacing, even without a bag on his head... Okay, so his general persona is quite scary, having said that being he does it well and in my opinion he would have made a great Scarecrow.
