Batman Movies: 10 Obscure Facts You Never Knew
5. George Clooney Regrets Batman & Robin
Now we all have our favourite portrayal of Batman, whether its Michael Keatons mysterious and self contained crusader, or Val Kilmers suave and sophisticated vigilante (who many say is the best portrayal of millionaire Bruce Wayne but Kilmer failed to portray a different attitude from Batman), and of course most recently the dynamic (excuse the pun) and ranged portrayal of both Bruce Wayne and Batman that Christian Bale delighted are screens with, completely re-inventing the Batman franchise. However I'm sure that there is one actor who donned the crusader cape that I'm sure we can unite against, and that is George Clooney's Batman. After researching why Clooney's Batman was met with such distaste, I began to wonder to myself, how does Clooney feel when he looks back on his film? With hindsight its easy to look back at this and go, Woah, that was really s**t and I was really bad in it, Clooney said in 2011.
The truth is, my phone rang, and the head of Warner Bros. said Come into my office, you are going to play Batman in a Batman film and I said Yeah! I called my friends and they screamed and I screamed and we couldnt believe it!
