4. Burt Ward & Julie Newmar Sound Too Old

Batman Return Of The Caped Crusaders Robin Catwoman
Warner Bros.

The potent, nostalgia-driven novelty factor of this film is nigh-on impossible to argue with, though it does also present one distracting issue: the voice actors are all about five decades removed from their work on the original Batman TV series...and it really shows.

Adam West just about gets away with it because he's always had a fairly old-sounding voice, but Burt Ward's Robin is hilariously unconvincing as a young man, and while Julie Newmar still brings the requisite sexiness for Catwoman, it's difficult to think of her rendition here as resembling anything less than, well, a cougar.
