8. Jeremy Piven
HBOAfter watching Entourage, its all too clear that Jeremy Piven who plays unbalanced agent Ari Gold can not only command a scene, but also bring the intensity and obsessiveness which a role like Riddler demands. Over the course of the eight seasons of Entourage, Piven distinguished himself as the shows finest actor: acknowledged with three Primetime Emmy awards. At times Pivens excitable performance as the agent can become so forceful that he verges on the insane. It is this memorable performance as the crazed Ari Gold that leads us to believe that Piven has the potential to be an extremely viable option to play Riddler. Piven is well-versed in portraying obsessed characters and there are very few who can claim to be more fanatical than the man infatuated with riddles, puzzles and word games. The only issue with Piven as an option to play Riddler is that he brings so much energy to a scene that he could potentially become too imposing to be the physically feeble Edward Nygma. He would arguably have to tone it down on occasion to keep his portrayal consistent with the DC comic books.
