7. Paul Bettany

Though Paul Bettany is already featured in the currently-filming Avengers: Age of Ultron as Vision (and also as the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S. in the Iron Man movies), this doesnt mean that he wouldnt make a superb Edward Nygma. Though the android Vision and the enigmatic Riddler are arguably as unlike as any two comic book characters, what we have seen of Bettany throughout his career leads us to believe that the switch to D.C. could be an excellent career option for the English actor. From his portrayal of a kooky Geoffrey Chaucer in A Knights Tale (coincidently acting alongside Heath Ledger) to his performance as a murderous monk in The Da Vinci Code, Bettany has proven himself more than capable of being able to capture the range of eccentric to crazed in which Riddler always operates. Bettany would also be able to capture the smooth-talking aspect of Riddlers character which was arguably absent from the Jim Carrey rendition.
