Batman V Superman: 10 Big Questions We Still Have No Answers For

8. What Is Lex Luthor€™s Role?

Fans were ecstatic when the sequel to Man Of Steel became a Superman/Batman showdown, but that excitement dulled considerably when it was announced that a Mark Zuckerberg-inspired Lex Luthor would be in the film played by the actual Mark Zuckerberg (well, movie version), Jesse Eisenberg. That negative reception soon gave way to curiosity as fans got over Luthor being portrayed by a skinny white guy and began to focus on the character's motivations and how he will make himself the third wheel in Batman and Superman's epic battle. Based on the trailers, it seems like Luthor has his fingers in a lot of pies. He has connections with the government, he may be in possession of Zod's body, he has something (possibly kryptonite) over Superman and it's enough to make Supes kneel before him, and it seems like he has some sort of mysterious stake in Batman's clash with Superman. All this is a long-winded way of saying that no one has any clear idea on what Luthor's role in the story is, but it seems like he will be a powerful third party who shouldn't be ignored. All this discussion about Lex Luthor, his shenanigans, and kryptonite conveniently leads into the next entry...

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
