Batman V Superman: 11 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know (Nov 12)

8. There's Time Travelling

The sequence from the trailers showing Batman in what appears to be a dystopian future, wearing a new costume and happily snapping necks was always something of a head-scratcher. But now there's a suggestion that it's a legitimate shot of the future that is shown to Batman as a means to turn him away from his anti-Superman agenda. The theory suggests that the vision is shown to Batman by Ezra Miller's Flash, who presumably uses his cosmic treadmill to travel to the future to find out what happens if Lex Luthor is allowed to win. Rating: 2/10 Well, if not time travel, how the hell do you explain that sequence? Could it simply be a prophecy by Wonder Woman? Or a Bat-dream? Or is the dystopia that Lex Luthor sells to Batman as what will happen if Superman's new strike team is allowed to grow in power. In reality, having something as important as time travel (and a character as important as The Flash) dropped in out of nowhere as a narrative device will be plainly stupid. And though there's no explanation for that sequence yet, that shouldn't be taken as an opportunity to be silly.
