Batman V Superman: 11 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know (Nov 12)

7. There'll Be An Extended Cut

The same Collider interview with Charles Roven suggests that there's probably going to be an extended version, just in case the final version Snyder turns in ends up being too over-stuffed and someone else has to sort it out.
€œI don€™t know if you€™ll ever get the 4-hour version, but there may be something that€™s coming along that might be slightly less long than that.€
Snyder obviously has a track record for director's cuts, so it would fit in with the precedent. Rating: 9/10 Snyder likes his appointed status as an auteur (at least in aesthetic terms), and the former jibe about restraint is a pretty pressing concern. That probably means that there's going to be a massive amount of footage and a huge need for painful edits, which is usually the in point for director's cuts. Plus it squeezes more money out of the DCEU, which will definitely be a selling point for Warner Bros and DC.
