5. There Might Be Origin Spin-Offs
Roven's interview with Collider also seeded the possibility that while Batman V Superman will be the launching point for the Justice League movie, and the first appearances for some expanded universe characters, their origins might actually come in stand-alone movies that jump back in time before the versus movie:
So if, for example, The Flash movie or the Aquaman film is gonna come out after Justice League 1, its not gonna be a completely different character; that character will have evolved from Justice League 1. Wonder Woman, when we see her in Justice League 1, will have evolved from Batman v Superman. Unless we decide that in one of these stories were gonna do something that happened in the past and have it be more of an origination story, in which case youll realize how that character became what they were in the movie that they were first introduced.
Rating: 8/10 Hopefully, the origination story he's talking about will be the Batman stand-alone that's coming. Though there have been suggestions that the story there is going to be centred on Red Hood and The Joker, the issue of jumping off into a new Batman series with an ages Batman and a dead James Gordon means you have to change everything dramatically and replace key elements. While it's an intriguing idea to see The Joker again after Suicide Squad, it doesn't need to be for the first movie, and it would be far better if Warner Bros revive their plans to bring in Year One, and then have Under The Red Hood as a sequel that jumps ahead in time to after Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad.
