8. Senator Finch
Holy Hunters Senator Finch is another character that audiences currently know next-to-nothing about. Shes clearly a strong female character, and is seemingly positioned at centre stage in some sort of political/legal affront against Superman (presumably caused by the city-levelling events of Man Of Steel), and thats pretty much all the information thats currently available. Theres certainly potential in this area for a very interesting character, and one that may even steal the show. It takes guts to stand up to an impenetrable alien who could kill you with ease, perhaps Senator Finch will end up being one of the most interesting non-heroic characters in the movie. This is certainly supported by the fact that Holly Hunter has memorable turns in multiple Coen Brothers movies (O Brother Where Art Thou and Raising Arizona) under her belt. She doesnt seem like the type of actress Warners would hand a boring bit-part role, so her Senator character could have a larger role in the movie than the trailers have suggested. It seems likely, then, that Hunters Finch will more than hold her own in the film, and take absolutely no nonsense from these superhero menaces. At a time where Donald Trump and Boris Johnson look dangerously close to taking over the world, audiences would surely welcome a formidable and inspiring politician like this on the big screen. There arent many out there in the real world, after all.
