Batman V Superman: 10 Mistakes It Made That Justice League Must Avoid

8. Making Us Buy The Blu-Ray To See The Full Movie

Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition

While the extended cut of Batman v Superman is an improvement on the theatrical cut, it was disappointing that audiences were forced to wait until the Blu-Ray released to get the complete movie. When comparing the two, it's blatantly obvious that the theatrical cut has been chopped and sliced to a ridiculous degree - it's not the full, proper version of the film. It's unfinished.

Is this really fair on moviegoers? Not really. When you buy a ticket for a movie, there's an expectation that the product is presented in the fullest form possible - no network would broadcast a TV series and leave a few episodes out. This doesn't help Warner Bros, either - if they'd released the extended cut in theatres back in March, would the film have made more money? Would it have been received more warmly? Quite possibly.

But the theatrical cut is the version that most people will see, and that's why Justice League needs to nail it from day one. If the film needs to be a little bit longer (but a little bit better) as a result, then why not? It's no good releasing the finished cut on Blu-Ray a few months down the line - the damage will already have been done.
